K-Pop Cafes in Tokyo

There are a lot of cafes in Tokyo that celebrate the birthdays and anniversaries of various K-pop groups! These are just a few of the ones that I have personally been to. If you want to know if a cafe is holding an event for an idol you care about, you can check their twitter! You can also search the idol or group's name in katakana on twitter and add イベント or カフェー after it.A lot of cafes, especially in Harajuku, require a reservation ticket. You usually do this through the LINE app and you scan the QR code that is pinned on their twitter. This will reserve your place in line and it will tell you when you can go to the cafe. If they're not busy, they'll announce on twitter that you can come without reservation. There are still a lot that I haven't been to, so if I've missed any good ones, please let me know on twitter @niveumbra!

LIST of Cafes

Tig Cafe

A must visit if they're having an event. Requires a reservation ticket, but they give out physical ones. Super popular, so you have to go early to get a ticket. It opens at 11, but tickets get distributed at 10. If the group is more popular, get there even earlier. They have a lot of cute cards they give you, and sometimes they sell special merch as well.
The cake in the cake set is alright and they sell cookies with photos printed on them as well. The strawberry latte is definitely my favorite though!

CafeON

Honestly really fun, but they usually don't do too many events that I'm interested in. What's really cool about this place is that they have giant screens set up and you can request MVs and stage performances for them to play! Be warned though, it's only 1 request per 2 people, even when they're not busy at all. Might be crowded on weekends, since it's on the main street of Shin Okubo
The desserts are okay, but really sweet. My friend said that their actual food was good as well!

CAFE C+

They're in a side street of Shin Okubo and have a really nice atmosphere! I think their cakes are some of the best but they also have arirang hotdogs and a lot of coffee options.
They tend to play long compilation videos of all of a group's stage performances and, if you go on the last day, they might offer you to take some of the posters they have hanging up!
Actually, this is the first k-pop cafe I went to and they're very low stress.

Origoo

This isn't really a cafe, but more like a store that sells doll clothes and decorations for photocards! They sometimes have cupholder events though, which is why I'm including it. I'm pretty sure they included a few snacks with the cupholder whenever we went.Japan, 〒169-0072 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Okubo, 1 Chome−6−12 花岡ビル 5F@origoo_tokyo on Twitter

Chu Cafe

A simple food truck that sells drinks and has cup holders. Honestly nothing special. If you're already in the area and don't mind spending the money, I'd recommend it but don't go out of your way for it. Also requires a reservation ticket.4-chōme-25-2 Jingūmae, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan@chu_cafe on Twitter

Cafe Ing

This place is really cool! You have to schedule a pick up time and pay in advance, but you can get a custom image printed onto a macaron! Their sets usually come with 2 macarons (1 custom), a cheese tart, and then a drink. Everything tastes really good and the staff are really nice!
The only downside is that you can't eat there, so you have to find a nearby park or take it back to where you're staying.

Cafe Jinny

This place was completely empty whenever I went, but it was still nice. They don't have any food, but they have an all you can drink soda bar OR a take out snack pack. So, you can sit there and drink unlimited soda and just relax for a bit.
They have really cool extra goods for sale though! I bought a clear glitter SKZ pouch I use to hold a bunch of other miscellaneous goods that I don't want to lose.

Cafe Yolum

This place is adorable! Everything is pink. It's really small, so you need a ticket reservation on LINE beforehand. They have a wide variety of different desserts, like cakes and parfaits. You order by using the ticket machine inside the store and paying there. You then take your ticket to the staff.ATMビル 2F, 1 Chome-21-15 Jingumae, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan@yolumlovesyou on Twitter

Cafe Guleum

A pop up cafe that is associated with Cafe Yolum and is right next door! You have to reserve a ticket on LINE in advance, but it wasn't crowded the day we went so they eventually posted on Twitter that you could come without a ticket.
Only a take-out drink set, but they gave out posters to the first 50 people who showed up!

9wol Cafe

This place was empty whenever we went, so even though it said to reserve a LINE ticket, we didn't need it. They had a lot of yummy drink options and were playing MVs when we went! They even played the collab Kingdom stage for Wolf?
A nice place to stop if you want to relax in air conditioning and drink something refreshing.
